Parenting Plans - mentoring

Parenting can be challenging, and sometimes you need a tailored plan to navigate through specific needs or difficulties. Our accredited creative psychotherapist is here to support you in creating a parenting plan that suits your family's unique situation.

Here's how our service works:

  1. First Parent Consultation: We start by understanding your concerns and needs as a parent.

  2. Child Observations: Our therapist observes your child at home and school to gather valuable insights.

  3. Detailed Written Parenting Plan: Based on the consultations and observations, we craft a detailed parenting plan.

  4. Second Parent Consultation: We explain the parenting plan and determine the start dates for implementation.

  5. Two-Week Review: We check in with you through a phone call or Zoom meeting to discuss progress and make any necessary adjustments to the plan.

  6. Four-Week Review: Another follow-up to ensure the plan is effective, with additional recommendations or modifications as needed.

The entire process, including the parenting plans and two reviews, spans six weeks and costs €350.

Once the parenting plan is established and reviewed after four weeks, further therapy options may be considered, such as 1-1 therapy for the child/children or additional parenting sessions. These sessions are payable per session, and we work together to find the best path forward for your family.

Let us help you create a customized parenting plan that addresses your specific challenges and supports the well-being of your family.

Non-Violent Resistance

We understand that sometimes things can get tough, and parents or caregivers might feel scared or overwhelmed by their child's abusive and violent behaviors.

Our NVR programme is here to assist parents in changing the way they handle these difficult situations. We believe that the child is not the problem – the problem is the problem. In our family-focused approach, Non-Violent Resistance starts with parents acknowledging this crucial distinction.

NVR empowers parents to take positive action against violent and aggressive behaviours. By providing tools and strategies, we help parents regain control and end the cycle of violent and controlling behavior within the family. Our proven program has successfully supported many families in creating a safer and more harmonious home environment.

If you're looking for a supportive community and effective methods to address challenging behaviours, you're in the right place. Join us on this journey towards positive change and healthier family dynamics with our Family Support Non-Violent Resistance Programme.

Circle of Security

Family Support Programme, where we embark on a transformative journey to strengthen the bond between parents and children, fostering a secure attachment that lasts a lifetime.

Our program is a comprehensive guide to understanding and supporting your child's emotional world, equipping you with the tools to read their emotional needs, enhance their self-esteem, and honor your innate wisdom as a caregiver.

At the heart of the Circle of Security is a visual map of attachment, inspired by John Bowlby, the pioneer of attachment theory. Bowlby emphasized the central role of intimate attachments in shaping a person's life, from infancy to old age. The Circle of Security draws on this wisdom, recognizing that strong, secure attachments are the foundation for a fulfilling and well-adjusted life.

Key Principles of the Circle of Security Program:

  1. Early Intervention for Lifelong Well-being: Addressing attachment problems in infancy and early childhood significantly reduces the likelihood of psychopathology later in life.

  2. Building a Foundation for Social Competence: Cultivating secure attachment relationships with caregivers in the early years lays the groundwork for social competence and effective functioning of emotion regulation and stress response systems.

  3. Change is Possible: The quality of the attachment relationship is not fixed; it can be positively influenced and improved.

  4. Learning from a Secure Base: True learning and therapeutic change occur within the context of a secure base relationship.

  5. Relationship Capacities Over Techniques: Lasting change stems from caregivers developing specific relationship capacities rather than relying on behavioral management techniques.

  6. Parental Aspirations: All caregivers share a common goal – wanting what is best for their children. Our program aligns with this innate desire, providing guidance and support for optimal child development.
